Miami Child Found At Bottom Of Apartment Complex Pool
A 6-year-old Miami boy died after being found at the bottom of an apartment complex swimming pool in Broward County.

HOLLYWOOD, FL — A 6-year-old Miami boy died early Monday at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital after being found at the bottom of an apartment complex swimming pool in Broward County.
The Broward Sheriff's Office said authorities were called to the Beach Walk at Sheridan apartments shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday during a get together that was attended by a number of adults and children. The apartment complex is located at 311 E. Sheridan St. in Dania Beach.
"The child had arrived at the get together with his mother," according to Keyla Concepción of the Broward Sheriff's Office. "The boy’s body was transported to the Broward County Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy."

Concepción said an adult jumped into the pool and pulled the child out. The adult also started cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the boy.
Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue took the child to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital where he remained in critical condition throughout the night. He was pronounced dead around 2:13 a.m. Monday morning.

"The investigation is ongoing though homicide detectives do not suspect foul play," Concepción added.
