"I want to express my appreciation to the city of Miami's first responders for their care and attention and to my colleagues and the community for their concern," he said on Thursday night. "I hope to be back at city hall soon."
Reyes' office said the commissioner left city hall "under his own power and, in an abundance of caution, reported to Mercy Hospital so that medical professionals could assess him."
