Miami-Dade General Election 2018: Voting Times, Locations

With the Nov. 6 election only weeks away, Patch brings you all the information you need to be election ready.

MIAMI, FL — With the Nov. 6 election only weeks away, all Miami-Dade polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day. Early voting in Miami-Dade begins on Oct. 22 and ends on Nov. 4.

Miami-Dade Voting officials said this year's ballot is particularly long. Voters can familiarize themselves with a customized sample ballot online before heading to the polls.

Mail Ballots

Voters who are already registered to vote in Miami-Dade County can request a vote-by-mail ballot online. These can be requested by email, fax, phone or mail.

To have a vote-by-mail ballot sent to an address other than the one on file with Florida Voter Registration, registered voters must send a signed written request which contains the following information:

  • Full name of voter.
  • Date of Birth.
  • Residence address.
  • Mailing address (if applicable).
  • Voter registration number (optional).
  • Date of the election or elections for which a vote-by-mail ballot is needed.
  • Signature of Voter (written requests only).

The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot is 5 p.m. on the sixth day before the election.

Anyone who has submitted a vote-by-mail ballot can track the status online.
