1. Kush Hospitality Group (KHG) has taken over the food program at the Clevelander South Beach Hotel & Bar. The food program will be reimagined as a sports bar. Kush at Clevelander South Beach is expected to open by September 1, as football season gets underway. (Time Out Miami)

2. A search warrant performed at a Key Largo residence by Monroe County Sheriff's Office deputies with more than four pounds of marijuana, guns and other drugs and resulted in the arrests of two men. The men face multiple possession of marijuana and cocaine charges as well as possession of an undersized lobster found in the kitchen refrigerator. (CBS Miami)

3. Miami-Dade County has setup two Monkeypox vaccination sites and is now taking appointments. More than 600 people signed up to receive the vaccine just before noon on Wednesday. (WSVN)

4. Police are searching for a man who was caught on camera robbing a Lauderdale Lakes cellphone shop at gunpoint while dressed as a security guard. The incident happened July 22 at the Mobile One store at 3680 West Oakland Park Boulevard. (NBC Miami)

5. South Florida saw less steep increases on the prices of certain food items from June 2021 to June 2022 compared to the rest of the state. Inflation is beginning to slowly subside although overall inflation is still in the double digits. (Florida Patch)

  • Cubanos Pa'lante is fighting to battle misinformation in South Florida. The group is also working to repair a disconnect with American left-leaning voters and Cubans. (Miami New Times)
  • The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce small business health insurance, Greater Health Trust, is planning to expand statewide. (Miami Today)
  • Voters in South Florida have until 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 13 to put in a request to vote by mail in the Primary Election by contacting the Supervisor of Elections in their county. (WPLG Local 10)
