Miami Police Car Involved In Fiery Crash
A Miami police cruiser was involved in a crash with a robbery suspect on Tuesday afternoon, according to Miami police.

MIAMI, FL — A Miami police cruiser was involved in a fiery crash with a robbery suspect Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred around 3 p.m., according to Officer Michael Vega of the Miami Police Department.
"We've got a a robbery suspect that was fleeing and ended up in a crash at SW 17 Avenue and U.S. 1," Vega told Patch.
Video shot from a news helicopter showed flames shooting out of a red Honda, which was pressed up against the police cruiser.

Vega did not immediately know if anyone was injured.

Officer Kiara Delva added that the robbery suspect was taken into custody.
Miami police were advising motorists to avoid the area of U.S. 1 and SW 17 Avenue.
