Miami Police Need Help Finding Armed Carjacker

Miami police are asking for the public's help in finding the man responsible for an armed carjacking that occurred on Dec. 9.

MIAMI, FL — Miami police are asking for the public's help in finding the man responsible for an armed carjacking that occurred on Dec. 9. The incident took place around 11:20 p.m. in the 5100 block of NW 2 Avenue.

"The female victim was robbed at gunpoint of her 2011 Silver Toyota, by a black male suspect," Miami police said.

The victim told police that the robbery occurred as she was waiting for her brother to pull out of the parking lot so that she could follow him.

"The victim turned on the vehicle as she saw the subject approaching. The suspect walked up to the passenger side front door, opened the door and sat inside," police explained. "The suspect made a comment to the victim and the victim said 'you have the wrong car.' The suspect then took out a black firearm, pointed it at the victim, and demanded that the victim drive."

Police said the victim managed to make it out of the car to safety.

"The suspect slid over to the driver side and fled northbound on NW 2 Avenue in the victim’s vehicle," police added.

The attacker was described as African American with a dark complexion, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, 180 to 190 pounds with a full beard.

He was last seen wearing a black skully, white T-shirt, black jacket with white letters (all-star) and jeans.
