Miami Police Officer Saved By Stun Gun
Three people were taken into custody Friday morning and a Miami police officer narrowly dodged a bullet thanks to her stun gun.

MIAMI, FL — Three people were taken into custody Friday morning and a Miami police officer narrowly dodged a bullet thanks to her stun gun.
"Her Taser, which she was wearing on her gun belt, was struck by one of the rounds and several of the rounds came very close to striking her and struck her car," Miami's Deputy Police Chief Ronald Papier told reporters.
Papier said one of the suspects was injured during the incident, which tied up traffic from NW 17 Street to 22 Avenue and NW 46 Street & NW 46-52 Street.

"She was able to return fire. one of the offenders was shot, grazed in the neck," Papier said.
Miami Police Chief Jorge Colina told Patch in an interview this week that the city has experienced a significant drop in violent crime amid the coronavirus outbreak.
