Miami police took two people into custody and detained a third for questioning following an early morning police chase in Little Havana.

MIAMI, FL — A Miami police officer fired his weapon following an early morning car chase through the Little Havana section of the city but apparently did not hit anything. Police subsequently took two people into custody and detained a third for questioning. The incident tied up morning traffic as police established a perimeter to search for the suspects.
Officer Michael Vega of the Miami Police Department told Patch that the incident began around 5:30 a.m. when police found a silver Chevrolet Impala that was wanted in connection with an earlier purse snatching at SW 12 Avenue and SW 2nd Street.
Police chased the vehicle to NW 10 Avenue and NW 4 Street where the suspects crashed into a building, according to Vega.
