1. Residents in Miami Gardens are making another effort to stop the Formula 1 race slated to take place outside Hard Rock Stadium in just a few weeks. City officials approved the multi-million dollar deal a year ago, hoping for a big economic impact. Residents claim noise caused by high-speed cars close to their homes will not only be disruptive, but potentially cause permanent hearing loss. (WPLG Local 10)
2. A Miami Beach Police officer was struck by a subject in South Beach after she went to investigate a suspicious odor coming from a car. Police said it started when they spotted a suspicious car with the smell of marijuana coming from it. It led to a confrontation with two men, which then escalated into a knock-down, drag-out sidewalk scuffle. Cell phone video captured the incident at Ninth Street near Collins Avenue. (WSVN)
3. Nearly a dozen Cuban migrants made landfall in the Keys on Sunday. According to U.S. Border Patrol, 11 people arrived on a wooden fishing vessel near Smathers Beach. The migrants were screened and then taken into custody. (CBS Miami)
4. Flights to Africa from Miami have returned with Royal Air Maroc resuming flights from Casablanca to Miami International Airport. Casablanca has become the 94th international destination with nonstop service from MIA. The airport continues to climb in the rankings of the world's busiest airport and is now ranked second for international flights from the U.S. (The Next Miami)
5. Miami-Dade Police are working to identify a badly burned body that was found inside a parking garage at the Falls mall. According to police, they initially responded to the scene off U.S. 1 and SW 136 Street on Sunday, following reports of a fire. When they arrived, they found the burned body in the outdoor parking garage. (CBS Miami)
