Miami Shooting Leaves 2 People Dead, 1 Injured

Miami police are asking for the public's help in finding the person or persons responsible for a shooting that left 2 dead and 1 injured.

MIAMI, FL — Two people were killed early Friday and a third was injured when a gunman opened fire in the 800 block of NW 70 Street.

Officer Kiara Delva of the Miami Police Department said police are asking for the public's help in finding the person or persons responsible for the shooting.

The incident occurred around 12:20 a.m.

Delva said police were alerted to the incident through a Shotspotter alert of multiple rounds fired in the area.

"Once officers arrived on scene, a total of three victims were located with apparent gunshot wounds," she explained. "Miami Fire Rescue responded and pronounced two out of the three victims deceased on scene — male and female — while a third female victim was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment."

The names of the victims were not immediately released by police pending next of kin notifications.

"Detectives are investigating leads and possible motives and ask that anyone with information contact the Miami Police Department and/or Crime Stoppers," Delva added.
