MIAMI, FL — A 13-year-old Wisconsin girl, who has been missing since her parents were found murdered early Monday morning, has possibly been spotted at a Miami gas station. Jayme Closs was possibly inside a black Ford Explorer with a Wisconsin license plate, according to Miami police.
Officer Michael Vega of the Miami Police Department said that the girl was possibly traveling with two well-dressed men in their 30s. The two were about 5 feet 7 inches tall to 5 feet 9 inches tall and approximately 200 to 250 pounds. Both had beards and were possibly from a Mideast country. The Wisconsin license plate was I60WER.

"Gunshots are involved. I'm not ready to reveal how they died at this time," Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald told reporters in Wisconsin of the child's parents.
Fitzgerald later said that the Miami sighting did not appear to be credible.

"Miami's tweet about this case was done without checking with the sources back here in Wisconsin," according to Fitzgerald. "I'm telling you, it did not come from the podium. It is not credible information."
Vega said that the child was possibly spotted in Miami between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday at the Sunflex gas station on NW 27 Avenue and 11 Street. The girl is 5 feet tall and weighs 100 pounds. She has green eyes and blond or strawberry blond hair.
"Inside the vehicle was a young girl fitting the description of Jayme Closs," according to Vega. A nationwide Amber alert has been issued for Closs.
Police believe the child may have been kidnapped at gunpoint from her home. They were called to the home on the 1200 block of Highway 8 in a mostly inaudible 9-1-1 call around 1 a.m. Inside, they found James Closs, 56, and Denise Closs, 46, dead from gunshot wounds.
