Investigators believe a Florida couple with a history of domestic violence were killed in a murder suicide earlier this week.

HOLLYWOOD, FL — Investigators believe a Florida couple with a history of domestic violence were killed in murder suicide earlier this week. They were found dead miles apart along Hollywood beach and at a nearby apartment complex, according to Hollywood police.
"The victim and suspect have been involved in a domestic relationship for the past several years," Officer Christian Lata of the Hollywood Police Department said on Thursday. "There is a history of domestic violence between the two which has been confirmed through family and prior police involvement."
The male victim was identified as George Haitz and the female victim was identified as Renee Roth.

Roth's body was found around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in the ocean along the 700 block of North Broadwalk while Haitz' body was found in a motel room in the 300 bock of New York Street.
"The investigation has led detectives to believe they were involved in an argument on the beach that became violent, at which time the victim was murdered," said Lata, referring to Roth. "The suspect then committed suicide in a motel room."
