1. Coconut Grove's Vicky's House Milkshake Bar & Beer Store will rebrand as Victoria's Vinos & Vermouth this December. The new concept will focus on the culture of wine from Spain and also offer small Spanish tapas menu to snack on. (Time Out Miami)
2. One of the victims swept away this week by a king wave in Miami Beach, that left six people injured, said she is "traumatized" from the incident. "It was like a tsunami, like this huge, huge wave β super loud, super fast," Jill Herman told WSVN news. (WSVN)
3. A man in Fort Lauderdale was struck and killed by a Brightline train on Saturday night. The incident happened around 6:20 p.m. at the intersection of NE 62nd Street and N. Dixie Highway. He was pronounced dead at the scene. (NBC Miami)
4. The African Heritage Cultural Arts Center is showcasing βThe Opponent,β written by Brett Neveu in October. It is the first professional theatrical production to return to the center since the pandemic began. Performances will run three weekends for 10 shows starting Thursday, Oct. 6, through Sunday, Oct. 23, at the Center's Wendell A. Narcisse Performing Arts Theater. (Miami's Community News)
5. NFL wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was recently spotted with the Miami Heat. Beckham tore his ACL last season during the Super Bowl and is currently in recovery, meanwhile the Heat are preparing for the return of basketball season. (Inside The Heat)

- Former marketing and operation director of the controversial Virginia Key Outdoor Center, Diana Perez-Pazos, is facing a criminal charge over a commercial code violation that her attorney says is not her responsibility. She is charged with "running a business without a business tax receipt," despite being an employee of the business. (Miami New Times)
- A new mixed-use development project in Sunset Harbour is being proposed by Ronny Finvarb. The project would be located at 1790 Alton Road. (The Real Deal - Miami)
