Ocean Bank Branch Robbed in Hialeah

A lone bandit held up an Ocean Bank branch in Hialeah on Thursday and escaped with an unspecified amount of cash.

HIALEAH, FL — The FBI is searching for a lone bandit who held up an Ocean Bank branch on Thursday. The robbery took place around 1 p.m. The branch is located at 1801 W. 4th Ave.

"The robber entered the bank and demanded money from a bank employee," according to Special Agent Michael Leverock and spokesman Jim Marshall of the FBI in Miami.

No one was injured.

The FBI released photographs of the suspect taken from surveillance cameras. The FBI would not say how much money was taken during the robbery.
