1. Detectives are searching for a group of thieves who stole $900,000 worth of watches from Grobartig Watch Co. at 13501 Southwest 128th St., in Kendall. Surveillance video shows the group on May 1 going through the luxury watches at the store. (WPLG Local 10)
2. Thousands gathered in South Florida Saturday to rally for new gun legislation in the wake of multiple mass shootings across the country with March For Our Lives. The rally included Parkland survivors, family members and gun violence activists, and also musical performances by various artists. (NBC Miami)
3. To prevent another Surfside tragedy that claimed 98 lives, Florida lawmakers approved a bill that requires all buildings at least three-stories high to be recertified after 30 years or 25 years if within three miles of the coast. Condo boards are now becoming concerned about the ramifications of the new standard including costs. (CBS Miami)
4. Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and Dunkin' Joy in Childhood Foundation hosted an "Arabian Nights" gala this year. The annual event gives patients who may have been unable to attend their high school prom a chance to dress up and dance the night away with friends. (WSVN)
5. Philadelphia's award-winning Double Knot will open in the former Wynwood Kitchen & Bar space in early 2023. Celebrity chef Michael Schulson and his company, Schulson Collective, are behind the project. (Time Out Miami)

- A South Florida man who shot at a U-Haul truck in the middle of traffic on Hallandale Beach Boulevard, Dwayne Wilkinson, said he was trying to get his stolen motorcycle back. Wilkinson did not have a concealed weapons permit and now faces several charges. (WPLG Local 10)
- Police are investigating a shooting at a Hollywood Publix supermarket as a homicide after they reported Saturday that the victim was dead on arrival at the hospital. The incident occurred at 1740 Polk Street just before the store closed. (WPLG Local 10)
