Police Ask For Help In Murder Of 34-Year-Old

The incident happened shortly before 11 a.m. not far from the Calle Ocho festival.

MIAMI, FL — Police are asking for the public's help in finding the killer of a 34-year-old man who was shot on Sunday in a Little Havana neighborhood. Police said that Luis L. Herrera Kindelan was gunned down at NW 11 Avenue and 3 Street. The incident happened shortly before 11 a.m. not far from the Calle Ocho festival.

"Once officers arrived they found a male who was suffering from a gunshot wound," explained Officer Kiara Delva of the Miami Police Department.

Miami Fire Rescue took Herrera Kindelan to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center where he passed away.

"The motive behind the shooting remains unclear," according to Delva.
