Police Search For Hit-And-Run Driver Who Killed Pedestrian
Homicide detectives were planning to distribute fliers at the hit-and-run crime scene on Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m.

MIAMI, FL — Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver in a white Toyota Rav4 that struck and killed a pedestrian on Sunday night. Fifty-one-year-old Auguste Friznel was killed around 8:30 p.m. as he attempted to cross the street at NW 7 Avenue and NW 103 Street. Miami-Dade police released surveillance video in the hope of finding the driver.
"The vehicle did not stop and fled southbound on NW 7 Avenue," according to Detective Lee Cowart of the Miami-Dade Police Department.

Friznel, of the 400 block of NW 104 Street, was taken to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to Cowart.
"Investigators are seeking the assistance from the community in identifying the hit and run driver and/or vehicle," he added.

Police said that that the Rav4 probably has damage to the left headlight and yellow lens cover. The vehicle appeared to be a mid 2000 model year with a spare tire mounted on the rear under a white cover. The vehicle also had tinted windows.
