Portion Of SW 4 Street Shut Down; Van Had 250 Gallons Of Gasoline
Miami police were investigating a van that contained some 250 gallons of gasoline in the 1200 block of SW 4 Street.

MIAMI, FL — Miami police closed a portion of SW 4 Street for a time on Tuesday afternoon as officers investigated an unoccupied white Econoline van that contained some 250 gallons of gasoline. Police said the van was leaking fluid but they did not say whether any of the fuel spilled. They initially received multiple reports of a strong odor of gasoline in the area.
Officer Kenia Fallat of the Miami Police Department said that the van was located in the 1200 block of SW 4 Street.
The road closure affected the portion of SW 4 Street from SW 12 Avenue to SW 13 Avenue, according to Miami police.

Police said that both pedestrians and vehicular traffic were being kept from the area while they investigated the van at around 1 p.m.
"The gasoline was safely secured and the vehicle was impounded," according to Officer Kiara Delva of the Miami Police Department.
