A pricey sailboat and three other vessels caught fire in Key Biscayne.

KEY BISCAYNE, FL — A pricey sailboat and three other vessels caught fire Thursday morning in Key Biscayne after the sailboat broke loose and spread the flames to other vessels docked at Crandon Marina.
The incident happened around 7 a.m. at the marina, according to Maggie Castro of Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.
"Upon arrival, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units found a fully engulfed boat which they had to tow out to the bay in order to be able to extinguish," Castro said. The blaze spread to a total of four different vessels.

Castro said no one was injured but it took firefighters about 30 minutes to bring all of the boat fires under control. Crews used foam to prevent the fires from spreading further to other vessels in the marina.
Officials believe the large sailboat caught fire, then broke loose and set another large vessel on fire.

"It then kept drifting to set a small vessel on fire, which burnt another large vessel," the agency said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
