Serial Bank Robber Sought By FBI In Hialeah

The FBI believes the same bandit robbed three banks in Hialeah, including one on Monday.

HIALEAH, FL — The FBI is searching for a serial bank robber who is believed to be responsible for three separate bank robberies in Hialeah, including one on Monday. The latest robbery took place around 11 a.m. at the Regions Banks branch. The bank is located at 600 East 9th St.

"The robber entered the bank and demanded money from a bank employee," according to Special Agent Michael Leverock and spokesman Jim Marshall of the FBI in Miami.

No one was injured.

Leverock and Marshall said that investigators believe the same bandit struck on Jan. 17 at the First Florida Bank branch at 1325 W. 49th St. in Hialeah and
Jan. 26 at the Ocean Bank branch on 1801 W. 4th Ave in Hialeah.

The FBI released photographs of the suspect taken from surveillance cameras during Monday's robbery. The FBI would not say how much money was taken during any of the crimes.
