Single-Engine Plane Makes Emergency Landing In Miami-Dade
A single-engine plane made an emergency landing in Southwest Miami-Dade County on Thursday after the pilot reported smoke in the aircraft.

MIAMI, FL — A single-engine plane made an emergency landing in Southwest Miami-Dade County on Thursday after the pilot reported smoke in the aircraft. The aircraft is registered to the Pilot Training Center, LLC in Miami. A Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman told Patch that the pilot was the only person aboard the Piper PA-28 aircraft.
"A Piper PA-28 landed safely at Lindbergh’s Landing, a private grass strip in southwest Miami-Dade County," according to the agency's Arlene Salac, who said that the incident occurred at 10:45 a.m.
The Pilot Training Center is located at 14300 SW 129th Street. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue was dispatched to Thursday's landing site.
