Teen Locked In Bank Vault Accused Of More Than Bad Judgment

LISTEN to the frantic 9-1-1 call when a Florida teen is locked inside an abandoned bank vault.

HOLLYWOOD, FL — The Florida boy who found himself locked in an abandoned Bank of America vault earlier this week has been accused of more than bad judgment. The 17-year-old is now facing a charge of trespassing.

So is his 15-year-old friend who alerted Hollywood police in a frantic 9-1-1 call (LISTEN BELOW). He stayed on the scene as first responders worked for several hours to bust into the vault before Bank of America was able to retrieve the combination to its shuttered branch.

"Me and my friend are in an abandoned bank and the vault closed on him and he's locked in here," the 15-year-old told the police dispatcher. "I've got to get my friend o-u-t."

He can also be heard trying to calm his friend:

"Stop crying bro. They're coming," the boy assured .
