Here are the top stories today in Miami:
1. Forecasters said Saturday that Tropical Storm Ian is slowly continuing its journey toward Florida, however forecast models disagree on where the storm will land next week with South Florida still inside the projected cone. Leaders and meteorologists have asked residents to prepare for the storm as much as possible. (Florida Patch)
2. Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO) is searching for a man, 30-year-old Ciano Brown, who police say "placed a cellphone underneath a woman's dress" at a Walmart store located at 7900 West McNab Road in North Lauderdale. Detectives say the suspect has a history of the behavior and are asking anyone with information to contact authorities. (WSVN)
3. Coral Gables Commissioner Jorge Fors Jr. has filed suit against lobbyist Kevin Marino Cabrera, who is running against him for Miami-Dade Commission District 6, over a "civil conspiracy" to ruin his image before the election this November. The lawsuit seeks unspecified monetary damages. (Florida Politics)
4. 39-year old Maykel Escalona was arrested on Thursday in connection to a case of road rage in Hialeah and is now out of jail on bond. Escalona was arrested after a driver recorded him on dashcam getting out of his car on the highway with a gun in hand. He faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. (WSVN)
5. PΓ©rez Art Museum Miami is launching free movies on the water this fall for residents to enjoy. The series is called "Floating Films on the Bay." The series will kick off Thursday, Oct. 6, with a screening of In the Heights in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs Sept. 15 to Oct. 15. (Time Out Miami)
