FL Firefighters Save Dog That Fell Into Bay While Playing In Miami Beach: Watch
A pooch playing at a dog park fell off a seawall into the bay at Miami Beach. Watch video of 2 firefighters getting her safely back on land.
MIAMI BEACH, FL — Miami Beach firefighters saved a dog that fell into the bay at Miami Beach Tuesday.
The Miami Beach Fire Department shared the video of the heartwarming rescue on its Facebook page.
A woman was playing with her pup at a dog park when the canine got too close to the seawall’s edge and fell in. The frightened pooch was treading water by the time Fire Rescue Truck 22 and Engine 2 arrived.

Two firefighters used a roof ladder to get down into the bay’s thigh-deep water. One grabbed the dog by her harness and carried her up the ladder to safety.
Throughout the rescue, the firefighters waiting on land encouraged the scared dog, telling her she was a “good girl.”

“We’re so happy to have been able to help,” the fire department wrote on Facebook.
Once on land again, the pup got plenty of pets and love from firefighters and others watching the rescue. She repaid them for their efforts by shaking off the excess water onto everyone standing nearby.
