Where To See The Blue Angels Over Miami

The Blue Angels are set to roar over the Miami area Friday afternoon as part of a salute to health care workers and first responders.

MIAMI, FL — The Blue Angels are set to roar over the Miami area in formation Friday afternoon as part of the elite U.S. Navy flight demonstration team's salute to American health care workers and first responders who are on the front lines of the coronavirus battle.

"Residents of #Jacksonville and #Miami should observe the flyover from the safety of their home-quarantine and should refrain from traveling to see the flyover," the squadron posted on social media. "Social distancing should be practiced at all times."

The Blue Angels are scheduled to begin the 25-minute flyover at 1 p.m. over the Boca Raton Medical Center and finish over the West Boca Medical Center at 1:25 p.m.

The flight plan appears to show the squadron flying over inland areas east of Interstate 95 but west of A1A.

The jets will pass over Deerfield Beach, Pompano Beach, Lauderdale-By-the-Sea, Oakland Park, Wilton Manors, Fort Lauderdale, Dania Beach, Hollywood, Hallandale Beach, Aventura, Bal Harbour, Surfside, Miami Beach, downtown Miami, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, South Miami, Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay before turning back at 1:13 p.m. just south of Homestead.

The return trip will take the squadron over Leisure City, Naranja, Princeton, Goulds, South Miami Heights, Kendall and back over South Miami, Coral Gables, downtown Miami, Hialeah, Hialeah Gardens, Miami Lakes, Miramar, Pembroke Pines, Southwest Ranches, Cooper City, Sunrise, Tamarac, Coral Springs and Parkland before ending over the Boca Medical Center.
