Community members pressure Naples council to challenge Pride's lawsuit (fox4now.com) — Naples residents packed Wednesday’s City Council meeting, urging leaders to keep fighting Naples Pride’s lawsuit over new rules that moved drag performances indoors and restricted them to adults. The city is weighing settlement options in closed session, while Naples Pride insists its drag shows are protected First Amendment expression and vows to continue the legal battle.
   

2. East Naples: Toll Brothers proposes compact single-family development (marconews.com) — A 90-home Toll Brothers community is being proposed for East Naples on a 71-acre site off Bayshore Drive, just minutes from downtown. The project needs Collier County Planning Commission and commission approval but already has unanimous support from the Bayshore Gateway Triangle advisory board. If approved, it could reshape the area’s look, taxes, and road improvements while preserving significant open space.
   

3. Lee Health, Amazon, Cape Coral Yacht Club & more. Big SW FL changes (naplesnews.com) — Drivers in Naples will soon see major changes at Pine Ridge Road and I-75, where construction is underway on Collier County’s first diverging diamond interchange. It’s one of several big Southwest Florida projects, alongside a new Lee Health hospital, an Amazon robotics center, RSW airport expansion, and Cape Coral Yacht Club’s massive rebuild.
   

4. Youth Haven in Naples receives $770,000 grant to support vulnerable youth (gulfcoastnewsnow.com) — Naples-based Youth Haven just received a $770,000 grant from the Schoen Foundation to expand trauma-informed care for vulnerable children and teens in Collier County. The gift, following a previous $2.5 million donation, strengthens the county’s only emergency and residential shelter for abused and neglected youth ages 6 to 21, helping provide safety, stability, and long-term support.
   

5. Naples' Jingled Elves turn city into holiday fest, raise money for nonprofits (winknews.com) — Hundreds of costumed “Jingled Elves” just turned Naples’ trolleys, parks, and plazas into a roaming holiday party while raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for women- and children-focused nonprofits in Collier County. The now citywide tradition has surpassed $1 million raised overall, with flash mobs from Mercato to Venetian Village to Fifth Avenue showcasing how much holiday spirit Naples can generate for local families in need.

  • So my roomate was walking his dog in Meadowood today like he does every day and he has told me about this guy who walks his shepherd every day also, he has said its an aggressive dog but i never thought anything of it.
