This senior citizen who turned 101 years old on Wednesday prefers the sweet birthday surprise she received from Achieva Credit Union.
June Proulx of Dade City celebrated her 101th birthday in style, decked out in sparkly shoes, sparkly pants and a bling necklace to match her sparkling personality.

The sharp-witted senior lives on her own in Dade City and loves being in the spotlight.
She said the secret to her long and happy life is saving the "sweet moments in life." She never drank or smoked, but she did indulge in plenty of Hershey's chocolate bars.

Not only did Proulx receive 101 chocolate bars but Achieva Credit Union gave her $101 for signing up as a new member and tossed in an extra $99 for good measure. Proulx then enjoyed a lunch out during which everyone in the restaurant sang "Happy Birthday" to her.
She plans to finish her celebration participating in her favorite pastime Wednesday night — bingo.
