2 Sandbag Sites Open In Pasco County As More Rain Forecast
Two sandbag sites have opened for residents in Pasco County as the forecast calls for heavy rain. The sites are free to use and self-serve.
NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — Two sandbag sites have opened for residents in Pasco County as the forecast calls for heavy rain. The sites are free to use and self-serve; and offered to help protect homes in low-lying areas, a news release said.
The sites to obtain sandbags are open 24 hours a day to residents. The locations are:
Public Works C-Barn – 30908 Warder Road, San Antonio
Magnolia Valley Golf Course – 7223 Massachusetts Ave., New Port Richey

A county new release said sand and sandbags will be restocked between sunrise and sunset through Sunday, July 6. Residents should bring a shovel, and be prepared to fill your own sandbags.
The National Hurricane Center on Tuesday increased the chance for tropical development to 30 percent across the state, a 10 percent rise from Sunday's forecast. There is an 80 percent chance of storms and rainfall Thursday through Friday night.
