2-Year-Old Boy Drowns in Pool

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the apparent drowning of a 2-year-old boy found unconscious in the pool at his home in Trinity.

Juan Bermudez, of 3606 Heron Island Drive, was pronounced dead at Community Hospital after the Sheriff’s Office received a call at 6:52 p.m., according to a media release.

Preliminary investigation indicates Juan walked through a sliding glass door and into the pool while his mother was asleep.

Earlier Monday, a 14-year-old was found nearly drowned at the bottom of a pool at 7007 Stone Road, Port Richey. He was breathing when brought to a Tampa Bay hospital.
