2012 Flashback : Student, School Accomplishments

Some of the good news in the New Port Richey area came from students and schools.

It's almost time to say goodbye to 2012. But before we do, we're taking a look back at some of the stories that highlighted what was going on in West Pasco this past year.

The topic of this edition: Triumphs for students and schools. Several students saw long-term goals come to fruition this year. A group of Mitchell High students saw their effotrts to add a sidewalk to Mitchell Blvd and Little Road become reality. A different student's campaign to add a sidewalk to Moon Lake Road bore fruit.

Gulf High earned high SAT scores. Richey elementary opened a new campous. And a new leader took the reins of the school district.
