5 Things You Should Know Today, Sept. 22

Almost to the weekend.

1.     It could feel as hot as 99 today due to the heat index. Que lastima!  Pero the actual temperature will reach a high near 90. It will be partly sunny with a chance of rain and thunderstorms after 2 p.m.

2.     According to Pasco County recycling coordinator Jennifer Seney,  1,200 volunteers retrieved over 11 tons of trash this year for the Coastal Cleanup. New Port Richeyits Cotee River Cleanup Neighborhood Pride Days event.

3.     New Port Richey city officials are slated to meet at 2 p.m. at City Hall on Friday with representatives from Community Hospital, which is planning to move most of its operations to a new facility in Trinity in November.
