7-Eleven Opening Store on Rowan Road

Are you pumped?

The shuttered gas station at the southeast corner of Rowan and Trouble Creek could be open again soon.

A 7-Eleven franchise is moving into 4540 Rowan Road and plans to open later this month or in early April, according to Margaret Chabris, a 7-Eleven spokesperson.

“It will be a full-service 7-Eleven store offering hot foods, fresh foods, Slurpee and Big Gulp drinks, groceries, fresh bakery items, coffee, ATM, money orders, lottery and prepaid cards plus gasoline,” she said.

The store is a little larger than 3,700 square feet, according to Chabris.

7-Eleven chose to move to the site, which formerly housed  a Citgo station, because of the large population in the area, “good mixture of residential, medical and commercial establishments” and corner location, Chabris said.

7-Eleven stores typically employ 10 people, according to Chabris.
