After more than a year of rehabilitation, Tina was ready to walk back to the water.

The 200-pound loggerhead sea turtle was released back into the wild by Clearwater Marine Aquarium officials Tuesday at Clearwater Beach.

The nearly 40-year old turtle was found lethargic and emaciated off Manor Beach in New Port Richey April 12, 2012.

Hundreds of beach goers crowded around to watch, letting out an applause when Tina disappeared into the Gulf of Mexico.
