Boy, 11, Fathered Woman’s Child: Deputies

A 25-year-old Port Richey woman stands accused of sexual battery on a boy that resulted in the birth of a child.

PORT RICHEY, FL — A Port Richey woman faces criminal charges after Hillsborough County deputies say she struck up a sexual relationship with an 11-year-old boy more than three years ago. The relationship, authorities say, resulted in the birth of a child.

According to deputies, Marissa Mowry, now 25, was at a home in Hillsborough County in January 2014 when the first sexual encounter occurred. The boy, an email from the sheriff’s office said, was 11 at the time. Mowry gave birth to a child in October 2014, authorities say.

“The defendant and victim continued with sexual contact multiple times when the victim was between the ages of 11-14 years old,” the email added.

After learning about the alleged encounters, Hillsborough deputies began looking into the activities of the Pasco County woman. A sexual battery arrest warrant ultimately resulted from that investigation. Mowry was brought into custody Tuesday, June 27. She remained in the Hillsborough County Jail Wednesday without bond, according to jail records.
