Boy, 8, Dead After Palm Avenue Crash
An 8-year-old bicyclist from Port Richey struck by a SUV on Jan. 7, has died from his injuries.
PORT RICHEY, FL — An 8-year-old Port Richey boy injured in a Jan. 7 crash on Palm Avenue has died from his injuries. The Florida Highway Patrol announced Gage Traver’s death Wednesday morning.
According to the agency, Danielle T. Dunn was driving a Lincoln SUV north on Palm Avenue around 3:35 p.m. Jan. 7. As she approached the intersection of Flagler Drive, Traver attempted to cross the road.
The boy’s bike, a highway patrol report said, traveled into the SUV’s path. The child was struck.

Traver was taken to Tampa General Hospital following the crash, but died from his injuries on Jan. 9.
No charges were filed.
