Burlington Celebrates New Port Richey Opening With Check To School

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — National retailer Burlington Stores celebrated the grand opening of its newest store in New Port Richey by presenting a $5,000 donation to James M. Marlowe Elementary School.

The donation was presented as part of Burlington's long-standing partnership with the national nonprofit organization, AdoptAClassroom.org. Since 1998, AdoptAClassroom.org has raised $57 million and supported more than 5.8 million students across the U.S.

The funds will be used to help teachers at Marlowe Elementary purchase necessary materials for their classrooms.

On hand for the check presentation were local school and district leaders.

Friday's ribbon-cutting ceremony brings the number of Burlington locations in Florida to 85. Burlington offers brand-name merchandise at discount prices.

The new Burlington is located in the Southgate Shopping Center, 5229 U.S. 19, New Port Richey.

Store hours are Monday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Mon-Sunday: 8AM-11PM
