City Of New Port Richey Adopts Ordinance To Prohibit Boat Trailer Parking
The New Port Richey City Council adopted an ordinance that prohibits boat trailer parking on certain streets.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — The New Port Richey City Council adopted an ordinance that prohibits boat trailer parking on certain city streets at its regularly scheduled meeting on Feb. 15.
“The ordinance was enacted for safety reasons as boat trailers are typically wider than average parallel parking spaces in the downtown area, which cause the trailers to encroach out into the streets,” said Public Works Director Robert Rivera.
Currently, there are signs at the city’s boat ramp directing boaters to the designated overflow parking lot located at 6131 River Road.
