Dead Cat Found in Arrested Woman's Car

Michelle Reyes told authorities she was trying to save a cat.

After Michelle Reyes allegedly plowed her Ford into a Pasco County Fire Rescue ambulance in Holiday on Thursday night, a Florida Highway Patrol trooper questioned her about what happened.

She told him: “I was trying to save a dead cat. That is the only reason I’m driving. I just lost control trying to find somewhere to save the cat in my car,” according to an FHP arrest report.

He smelled alcohol on her breath and noticed she slurred. He asked her if she had anything to drink.  She responded: ”Yeah I normally don’t drive. What would you do if you saw this cat? “
