Driver Who Lost Control On FL Highway Dies After Car Catches Fire
A New Port Richey man died Sunday night after losing control of his car on Interstate 75, FL Highway Patrol said.
PASCO COUNTY, FL — A driver was killed after he lost control Sunday night on Interstate 75 and his car caught on fire, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
The 46-year-old New Port Richey man was heading north on the interstate just before 7:30 p.m. when he lost control while cutting in and out of traffic south of Overpass Road.
He traveled into the highway’s outside shoulder and hit a light pole, FHP said.

His car became engulfed in flames following the crash.
