1.     Qualifying for the mayoral election New Port Richey started Tuesday. Bob Consalvo, former deputy mayor of New Port Richey and longtime parks and recreation director, announced that he was entering the mayoral election.

2.     Hundreds of Tampa Bay residents seeking free new smiles gathered in New Port Richey for the 10^th annual Dentistry From The Heart event.

3.     Community members gathered for a Hero 5K run benefitting a 22-year-old Marine who lost his legs after he was injured by an explosive in Afghanistan.

4.     The prepared to address a $21 million debt incurred by the Community Redevelopment Agency.

5.      The Gulf High School boys varsity basketball team ended its season with a loss to the Wesley Chapel Wildcats Wednesday. We featured Rohan Blackwood, who scored 23 points in the game, as our Player of the Week.
