Five Things You Should Know Today

We've got things you should know for Memorial Day and the week ahead.

1.     There’s a 20 percent chance of rain after 2 p.m. today, according to the National Weather Service. Otherwise, it will be mostly sunny with temperatures reaching a high near 87.

3.     Memorial Day services will be held at the West Elfers Cemetery today at 11 a.m. The Knights of Columbus Honor Guard will present colors, and state Sen. Mike Fasano, R-New Port Richey, new Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco and County Commissioner Henry Wilson will be in attendance.   Where is it?  Off Old Bailies Bluff Road, west of intersection of U.S. 19 and State Road 54, Elfers, Fl.

4.     The New Port Richey city council meets for a budget workshop at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 31. 

5.     Any active, retired or drilling instructors can get two free general admission tickets to the Florida Aquarium in Tampa today. Up to four family members can get half off general admssion tickets.
