PASCO COUNTY, FL — A frost advisory is in effect early Wednesday from 3 to 8 a.m. for parts of Pasco County, according to an advisory from the National Weather Service.

This includes the cities of Port Richey, Dade City, Zephyrhills and Hudson, the NWS alert said.

While the weather will be clear overnight, patchy frost and lows in the mid 30s are expected after midnight, forecasters said.

Residents should take steps Tuesday to protect tender plats from the cold temperatures.

“Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered,” NWS said.
