Get in Gear with the Cotee River Bike Fest Schedule

Motorcycles will roar into New Port Richey this weekend. Live music will entertain in Sims Park and on Main Street. Women will flaunt in daisy duke shorts.

It’s time for the 7^th annual Cotee River Bike Fest, planned by the. The festival of things that make a lot of people happy was first held in 2005 and attracts an average of more than 30,000 motorcyclists every year, according to the Chamber website.

The Bike Fest raises money for the Chamber and several other nonprofits.

This year’s main festivities are preceded on Thursday with the Leather & Lace Biker’s Ball at Quality Inn & Suites at 5316 U.S. 19, New Port Richey. Proceeds from the ball benefit the Sertoma Speech and Hearing Foundation of Florida and All Children’s Hospital.

Friday, Oct. 7

9 a.m. Grand Blvd from Circle Boulevard to Circle Boulevard; railroad crossing guards down on Nebraska Avenue between Grand Boulevard and Bank Street and Grand Boulevard and Adams Street.

4 p.m. Grand Boulevard to Montana Avenue open to motorcycles only. All other closures start, with downtown Main Street last

5 p.m. Crossing guard arms up, Nebraska at Grand Boulevard, east and west sides.

10:30 p.m. Main Street reopens

Saturday, Oct 8

9 a.m. Main Street closes

10:30 p.m. Main Street reopens

Sunday, Oct. 9

8:30 a.m. Main St. closes

4 p.m. All other roads reopen.
