Girl, 13, Makes Online Threats Against Pasco Schools: Sheriff
The 8th grader at Gulf Middle School has been charged with written threats to kill.

NEW PORT RICHEY - A 13-year-old girl has been arrested for making online threats against several Pasco schools, the Pasco Sheriff's Office said Saturday. The sheriff's cyber-crimes detectives made the arrest Saturday afternoon.
The 8th grader at Gulf Middle School has been charged with written threats to kill. She created a social media page on Instagram and named it "Jake The Klown," making threats of violence against students at Gulf Middle School, Gulf High School, and River Ridge High School.
The threat was made in the form of a post in a falsely created account stating: " These schools will be attacked: -Gulf Middle School @12:12 -Gulf High School @9:45 -River Ridge High School @1:35

The 8th grader admitted to creating the account and making the statements in order "prank" students of Gulf Middle School. She then proceeded to follow Instragram accounts of random Gulf Middle School students in order to create a following. She admitted to checking the popularity of the page throughout the day.
