HCA FL To Open Emergency Rooms In Pasco, Hernando, Citrus Counties

PASCO COUNTY, FL — HCA Florida Healthcare’s West Florida Division will expand into Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties with three new freestanding emergency rooms, according to a news release.

The latest census data shows the Tampa Bay Metro area grew by 14 percent, led by Pasco County which experienced a 21 percent growth rate, HCA Florida said in the news release. Hernando County saw a 13 percent population growth.

Construction is expected to begin on the three facilities this year with completion anticipated in 2026.

HCA Florida Sunlake Emergency, part of HCA Florida Trinity Hospital, which will be located at the corner of Sunlake Boulevard and State Road 54 in Pasco County.

Further north, HCA Florida Oak Hill South Emergency will be built on Mariner Boulevard, near the Hernando County Family YMCA. This location is affiliated with HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital.

HCA Florida Black Diamond Emergency, which will be located on Norvell Bryant Highway, will bring HCA Florida Citrus Hospital’s emergency services closer to Lecanto residents in Citrus County.
