Co-sleeping or bed sharing is a common, but controversial practice. An analysis of 8,207 infant deaths from across 24 states that occurred between the years of 2004 and 2012 revealed that nearly 74 percent of babies who died at an age younger than 4 months occurred in a co-sleeping situation, Today.com reported.
