Library Director Fills in As Interim City Manager

New Port Richey city leaders have appointed a temporary stand-in to fill role of City Manager.
Susan Dillinger, director of the New Port Richey Public Library, was appointed by the City Council to serve as interim city manager, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
The Times reports that the council approved a severance agreement worth about $40,000 for former City Manager John Schneiger.

The city of Roseburg, Ore., is looking for a new city manager. Schneiger made the list of finalists for that job. On Monday, Oct. 8, he withdrew his name for consideration for personal reasons, the News-Review reports.
The New Port Richey City Council directed the city human resources department to manage the search for a new city manager, the Times reports. Officials also plan on using the Range Rider program. That program offers temporary services of retired city managers to local governments, according to the Times.
