Man, 33, Reported Missing, Endangered

New Port Richey Police are asking for help locating a man who has been missing for months and may be in Tampa.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — As the search for a man who has been missing since last October continues, New Port Richey Police have issued a plea to the public for help.

According to the agency, Peirre Canty, 33, was last seen on Oct. 28, 2016. Canty’s disappearance is troubling to police, a Friday, March 10 email said, because he “suffers from various mental disorders and is off his medications.”

Police say Canty stands about 5-foot-11 and weighs an estimated 145 pounds. He may be in Tampa, the agency said, and is known to hang out in the area of Nebraska and Fowler avenues.

Anyone who sees Canty or knows of his whereabouts is asked to call Det. Cpl. Williams at 727-232-8972 or 911.

Police have classified Canty as an endangered, missing adult.
