Man, 63, Killed In Holiday Pedestrian Crash

A 63-year-old Tarpon Springs man was killed in a Wednesday night crash in Holiday.

HOLIDAY, FL — A Wednesday night crash along U.S. 19 near Phoenix Avenue in Holiday has left a 63-year-old Tarpon Springs man dead.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was walking east across U.S. 19, north of Phoenix Avenue, just before 10 p.m. May 24. At that time, a Hyundai driven by David Rich, 20, of Tarpon Springs, an Acura driven by Jonathan Rov Gan, 18, of Holiday, and a Ford Ranger driven by Michael Joseph Riccio, 26, of Holiday were heading north on U.S. 19.

Troopers say the pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, walked into the path of the three vehicles. All three motorists, a highway patrol report said, struck the man. He died at the scene.

None of the motorists were injured, the patrol’s report noted.
