Man Arrested After Holding Woman Captive, Throwing Her From Truck

James Arnold Cook has been charged with kidnapping.

A man stands accused of refusing to let a woman get out of his pickup truck in New Port Richey after she declined to have sex with him and then throwing her from the moving vehicle when she attempted to escape.

The man picked the woman in the pre-dawn hours in the area of the Royal Palm Motel at 6523 U.S. 19 in New Port Richey on July 20 and requested sex, according to an arrest report from the New Port Richey Police Department.

The woman declined, and the man took hold of her arm against her will and demanded sex. He would not let her out of his pickup truck as she tried to leave, according to the report.
